Can I Buy Just a Desk Frame Without a Tabletop?
Yes — Progressive Desk sells frames separately from tabletops. Here's what you need to know about buying a frame only and choosing a compatible tabletop on your own.
Yes, Frames Are Sold Separately
All Progressive Desk frame models — Mini Ryzer, Solo Ryzer, Prime Ryzer, and Corner Ryzer — are available as frame-only purchases. This means you can use your own tabletop, recycle an existing desktop, or order a third-party top that matches your exact size preference.
What to Know Before Buying a Frame Only
1. Check the frame's width adjustment range
Each frame has a minimum and maximum crossbeam width. Your tabletop must be at least as wide as the maximum frame width, and should not be narrower than the minimum. Confirm this in the product specs before purchasing a third-party top.
2. Check tabletop thickness
The frame mounting brackets are designed for standard tabletop thicknesses (typically 1″ to 1.5″). Very thin or very thick tops may not mount securely. Check the spec sheet for your frame model.
3. Account for weight capacity
The frame's weight capacity includes the tabletop. A heavy solid wood top can use 30–60 lbs of your capacity before monitors and accessories are factored in.
💡 Buying a Progressive Desk tabletop separately? Progressive Desk also sells tabletops individually — so you can mix and match frame and top, or add a second top later.
