Can I Use Progressive Desk Remotes with a Third-Party Desk?
No. Progressive Desk handsets use a proprietary communication protocol and are not interchangeable with other standing desk brands.
Not compatible with third-party desks. The RT-11 handset and all other Progressive Desk remotes communicate with our specific control box firmware. They will not pair with or control a control box from another manufacturer.
Why They're Not Interchangeable
Standing desk handsets across the industry use different protocols — there is no universal standard. The physical connector (RJ45 style) may look the same across brands, but the signal format, command set, and pairing method are proprietary to each manufacturer's control box.
What to Do If You Have a Third-Party Frame
If you own a non-Progressive Desk frame and need a handset, contact that manufacturer directly for a compatible replacement. Progressive Desk support is unable to assist with third-party frame issues.
