E08 — Excessive Current Error
E08 indicates the control box detected an unusually high current draw — typically pointing to a motor fault, a wiring short, or a failing control box. This error requires careful diagnosis.
What Causes E08
- A motor drawing more current than expected due to internal wear or binding
- A short circuit in the leg cable harness (damaged insulation, pinched cable)
- A failing control box that is unable to regulate current correctly
- Power fluctuations from the outlet — particularly on older wiring or shared circuits with high-draw appliances
Troubleshooting Steps
1. Unplug, wait 2 minutes, and inspect cables
Unplug the desk. Visually inspect all leg cables for pinches, cuts, or areas where the cable runs close to a sharp edge. Straighten any sharp bends.
2. Plug into a different outlet
Try a different wall outlet on a separate circuit — avoid plugging into a power strip shared with other high-draw devices. Plug directly into a wall outlet.
3. Run a reset and test movement slowly
After plugging in, complete the ASr reset. Try a short movement — just a few inches up and back down. If E08 returns immediately, stop and contact support.
⚠️ Do not continue using the desk if E08 keeps returning. Repeated E08 errors may indicate a motor or wiring fault that could worsen with continued use. Contact support for diagnosis before operating the desk further.
