How to Install a 42" x 24" Tabletop on FLT-01

This article describes the available tabletop sizing policy and the installation details that are explicitly supported: pre-drilling requirements and compatibility notes for installing a larger tabletop (42" x 24") on the FLT-01.

Tabletop sizing and custom options

  • Tabletops are not offered in custom sizes. Choose from the standard size options available.
  • If you select a tabletop size that does not include pre-drilled mounting holes for your application, you must pre-drill the holes yourself before installation or use the included self-tapping wood screws.

Pre-drilling requirements (general guidance)

  • If your chosen tabletop does not come with mounting holes aligned to your frame, drill the mounting holes in the tabletop so they match the mounting points on the frame. Ensure not to drill all the way through.
  • Ensure holes are positioned to align with the FLT-01 mounting points before attempting to attach the tabletop.

Compatibility note for 42" x 24" tabletops on FLT-01

  • A 42" x 24" tabletop can be installed on the FLT-01.
  • This larger tabletop will not be as stable as a platform that uses two legs; expect reduced stability compared with a two-leg platform design.
  • You should be able to use a setup with this larger tabletop on the FLT-01 when holes are properly drilled and aligned.

Installation checklist

  1. Verify the tabletop you selected is one of the standard offered sizes (no custom sizes available).
  2. Measure and mark hole locations on the tabletop to match the FLT-01 mounting points.
  3. Pre-drill the marked holes using appropriate drill bit size and technique for your tabletop material.
  4. Align the pre-drilled holes with the FLT-01 mounting points and secure the tabletop.
  5. Confirm the tabletop is stable after installation; take extra care with larger tabletops (for example, 42" x 24") since they are less stable on the FLT-01 than platforms with two legs.
