How to Perform a Desk Reset / Re-Initialize the Control Box

A desk reset (ASr procedure) re-initializes the control box and clears all programmed height limits and presets. This is the standard fix for many error codes, post-assembly issues, and movement problems.

When to Reset

  • After initial assembly — the firstRSTerror requires a reset to initialize
  • After a power outage or unexpected shutdown
  • When the desk shows an unexpected error code
  • When movement behavior is erratic (stopping mid-travel, not reaching presets)
  • When you want to clear all height limits and start fresh

Reset Procedure (ASr)

1. Hold DOWN continuously

Press and hold the DOWN button on the handset. The desk will lower toward its minimum height. Keep holding even after the desk stops moving.

2. Wait for ASr to appear

After the desk reaches minimum height, the display will show ASr. Continue holding DOWN.

3. Continue holding until the desk re-homes

While still holding DOWN, the desk will perform a short upward re-home movement, then lower again. Release when the display shows a height number (e.g. 28.5). The reset is complete.

⚠️  Reset clears everything. All memory presets (1–4) and custom height limits are erased. Re-program them after the reset.

If the Error Persists After Reset

If the desk still shows an error code after completing the full ASr procedure, check the Error Codes Full Reference Guide for the specific code. Some errors indicate a hardware fault that requires support rather than a software reset.
