How to Set Maximum and Minimum Height Limits

You can restrict your desk's travel range by setting a custom upper and lower height limit. This is useful if there's a ceiling fan, shelf, or other obstruction — or if you share the desk and want to limit the range for safety.

Why Set Height Limits?

  • Avoid collision with ceiling fans, shelves, or overhead lights at maximum height
  • Prevent sitting too low (e.g. if a child uses the desk and you don't want it to go to a height uncomfortable for adults)
  • Protect cables or accessories that have limited slack at extreme heights

Setting the Upper (Maximum) Height Limit

1. Move the desk to your desired maximum height

Use the UP button to raise the desk to the highest position you want to allow.

2. Press and hold M + UP simultaneously

Hold both buttons together until the display flashes or shows a confirmation. This saves the current height as the upper limit.

Setting the Lower (Minimum) Height Limit

1. Move the desk to your desired minimum height

Use the DOWN button to lower the desk to the lowest position you want to allow.

2. Press and hold M + DOWN simultaneously

Hold both buttons until the display confirms. The current height is saved as the lower limit.

Resetting / Removing Height Limits

To remove a height limit, perform a full desk reset (ASr procedure). This clears all programmed limits and presets and returns the desk to its factory height range. See the full reset article for the step-by-step process.

⚠️  Resetting clears your presets too. A full reset removes both height limits and memory presets (1–4). Re-program your presets after resetting.
