How to Set Up a Synchronized Dual-Actuator System for Canopy Doors
This article explains the options available for supplying a synchronized dual-actuator system suitable for lifting a hinged canopy door.
To achieve a synchronized dual-actuator system for lifting a hinged canopy door, the following components are recommended:
-
Actuators:
- The PA-01-HS, PA-10-HS or PA-04-HS hall sensor actuators are suitable for this application. They feature hall effect sensors that allow for synchronization of position and speed, ensuring that both actuators operate evenly.
- For heavy duty doors, the PA-HD1 or PA-HD2 actuators with hall sensors may also be considered, but it is important to confirm the actual required load first.
-
Control Box:
- The PA-CB40 2-Channel, Synchronized Wireless Hall Effect Actuator Control Box is recommended for controlling the PA-01, PA-10 or PA-04 actuators. This control box allows for remote operation and synchronization of the actuators.
- If using heavy duty units, like the PA-HD series, the PA-CB41 2-Channel, Synchronized High Power Wireless Hall Effect Actuator Control Box is recommended.
-
Mounting Brackets:
- Four Mounting Brackets are needed to securely mount the actuators. Refer to this page for the right mounting brackets based on your chosen actuator.
-
Optional Control Method:
- An optional Rocker Switch can be included as a backup wired control method for the control box.
