My Desk Legs Are Moving at Different Heights

If one leg is visibly higher than the other, the desk has lost sync between the two motors. This must be corrected before continuing to use the desk — an uneven tabletop puts stress on the frame and tabletop brackets.

Stop Using the Desk Immediately

⚠️ Do not continue raising or lowering the desk while the legs are uneven. Continuing to move an out-of-sync desk can damage the tabletop mounting brackets, warp the crossbeam, or strip the motor threads. Stop movement immediately.

Why Legs Go Out of Sync

  • Power was interrupted during movement (power outage, cord pulled)
  • One leg hit an obstruction while the other continued moving
  • A loose cable connection caused one motor to drop out mid-travel
  • A motor fault on one side (less common)

How to Re-Sync the Legs

1. Unplug the desk

Disconnect power completely. Wait 30 seconds.

2. Check and re-seat both leg cables

Confirm both leg cables are fully seated in the control box. A partially connected cable is the most common cause of one leg dropping out.

3. Plug in and run a full ASr reset immediately

Hold DOWN as soon as you plug in. The reset drives both legs fully down to minimum height, which forces them back to the same position and re-establishes sync.

4. Test movement through full range

After the reset, move the desk slowly through its full range and verify both legs travel at the same height. If one leg lags or leads, stop and contact support.
