My Handset Display Is Blank or Very Dim
A blank or extremely dim handset display usually points to a power issue — not a faulty handset. Here's how to diagnose it.
Completely Blank Display
If the handset display shows nothing at all, the control box is likely not receiving power:
- Check the wall outlet is live — plug in another device to confirm the outlet works
- Check the power cord connection at the control box end — it should be fully inserted with no wobble
- Check the power cord for visible damage (kinks, cuts, or bent prongs at the plug)
- Try a different outlet directly in the wall (not through a power strip)
Very Dim Display
A display that is visible but unusually dim may indicate a low voltage supply or a display component issue:
- Ensure the desk is not on a circuit with very high load — try a dedicated outlet
- Check if the display brightens at all when pressing buttons — if it flickers or brightens briefly then dims, the handset cable connection may be intermittent
- Re-seat the handset cable at both ends (handset connector and control box HS port)
💡 Display still blank after checking power? Contact support — a control box or handset replacement may be needed. Provide your model name and the steps you've already taken when you reach out.
