My Preset Buttons (1–4) Are Not Working

If pressing a memory preset button (1, 2, 3, or 4) does nothing or the desk doesn't travel to the saved height, here's how to diagnose the issue.

Presets May Not Be Programmed

After a reset, all memory presets are erased. If you recently ran an ASr reset or had a power outage, your presets no longer exist and pressing 1–4 will do nothing. Re-program them: move to your desired height, hold M until the display flashes, then press the preset number to save.

Hold the Button — Don't Just Tap

In most modes, using a preset requires you to press and hold the button until the desk begins to move. A single tap may not trigger the movement. Hold the preset button for 1–2 seconds until the desk starts traveling, then release.

Check Non-Momentary Mode

If the desk is in momentary mode (10.1), preset buttons may behave differently — the desk will only move while the button is held, not auto-travel to the preset. Switch to non-momentary mode (10.2) if you want auto-travel presets. See the mode switching article for instructions.

Re-Save the Preset

If a specific preset button (e.g., button 2) isn't working but others are, that preset may have been saved incorrectly. Overwrite it by moving to the desired height, holding M, and pressing that button number again.
