Switching Between Momentary and Non-Momentary Mode

Progressive Desk handsets can be set to two movement modes: momentary (hold the button to move) and non-momentary (tap once and the desk moves on its own). Here's what each mode does and how to switch between them.

The Two Modes Explained

1. Momentary Mode (10.1)

Hold to move
You must hold the UP or DOWN button continuously while the desk is moving. Release the button and the desk stops immediately. This gives you precise manual control.

2. Non-Momentary Mode (10.2)

Tap to move
Press UP or DOWN once and the desk travels to its height limit (or preset position if set) automatically. You don't have to hold the button. The desk stops on its own or when you press any button.

How to Switch Modes

1. Enter the ASr reset mode

Hold the DOWN button until the desk lowers fully and the display shows ASr. Keep holding DOWN.

2. Release, then press UP once

Release DOWN when the display shows ASr, then immediately press UP once. The display will show 10.1 or 10.2 depending on your current mode.

3. Press UP again to toggle

Each press of UP cycles between 10.1 (momentary) and 10.2 (non-momentary). Stop on the mode you want.

4. Wait for confirmation

After a few seconds without pressing anything, the handset saves the mode and returns to normal display. The desk re-initializes.

💡 Which mode should I use? Most users prefer non-momentary (10.2) — it's more convenient for daily use. Momentary (10.1) is better if you want fine control over stopping position or if you're concerned about the desk continuing to move after release.
