What Is the Weight Capacity of My Standing Desk?
Every Progressive Desk frame has a maximum weight capacity. That capacity covers everything on the desk — tabletop, monitors, accessories, and any equipment. Here's how to stay within it.
Capacity by Model
| Model | Total Capacity | Includes |
|---|---|---|
| Mini Ryzer | 130 lbs | Tabletop + all items on desk |
| Solo Ryzer | 275 lbs | Tabletop + all items on desk |
| Prime Ryzer | 275 lbs | Tabletop + all items on desk |
| Corner Ryzer | 330 lbs | Both tabletops + all items on both surfaces |
What Counts Toward the Limit
Everything that sits on or is attached to the desk surface counts toward the weight limit:
- The tabletop itself (typically 30–80 lbs depending on size and material)
- Monitors and monitor arms
- Desktop computers, Mac Studios, Mac Minis
- Audio equipment, studio gear, mixers
- Accessories mounted under the tabletop (drawers, CPU holders, cable trays)
⚠️ Don't forget the tabletop. A solid wood 72×30 tabletop can weigh 60–80 lbs on its own. Add that before calculating how much headroom you have for monitors and equipment.
Sample Load Calculation — Solo Ryzer
| Item | Approx. Weight |
|---|---|
| MDF 60×30 tabletop | ~45 lbs |
| Two 27″ monitors | ~28 lbs |
| Monitor arms (×2) | ~12 lbs |
| Laptop + dock | ~8 lbs |
| Accessories (speakers, USB hub) | ~7 lbs |
| Total | ~100 lbs |
In this example, the Solo Ryzer is at about 36% of its 275 lb capacity — well within range. The 275 lb limit gives significant headroom for most home and office setups.
