Which Standing Desk Is Right for Me?

Not sure which Progressive Desk to choose? This article walks through all four models — Mini Ryzer, Solo Ryzer, Prime Ryzer, and Corner Ryzer — so you can find the one that fits your space, budget, and workload.

The Four Models at a Glance

Progressive Desk offers four standing desk frame models, each designed for a different use case. Here's a quick comparison before diving into details.

Model Motors Weight Cap. Height Range Best For
Mini Ryzer 1 130 lbs 27.5″ – 45.5″ Small spaces, light setups
Solo Ryzer 2 275 lbs 24.4″ – 49.9″ Most home and office users
Prime Ryzer 2 275 lbs 24.4″ – 49.9″ Users wanting more features
Corner Ryzer 4 330 lbs 24.4″ – 49.9″ L-shaped / dual-surface setups

Mini Ryzer — Best for Small Spaces

The Mini Ryzer is Progressive Desk's most compact frame. It uses a single-motor system and supports lighter tabletops (up to a 42×24″ or 48×24″ surface). It's the right pick if your desk area is limited or you're outfitting a smaller workstation.

💡 Good fit for: Home studios, small apartments, standing converter upgrades, and setups with a single monitor and no heavy equipment.

Solo Ryzer — Best All-Around Pick

The Solo Ryzer is our most popular model. Dual motors, a full height range (24.4″ to 49.9″), and a 275 lb capacity make it suitable for virtually every standard home or office setup. It comes with the RT-11 memory handset for four height presets.

Prime Ryzer — Same Frame, More Features

The Prime Ryzer shares the same frame and motor system as the Solo Ryzer but is bundled with additional features and accessories. It's the right upgrade if you want enhanced cable management, a more complete out-of-the-box setup, or a premium finish.

Corner Ryzer — Best for L-Shaped Setups

The Corner Ryzer uses four motors (two frames) to support an L-shaped dual-tabletop configuration. It's designed for users who need two large work surfaces — one for monitors, one for secondary tasks. Tabletop depth ranges from 18″ to 48″, and total weight capacity is 330 lbs.

⚠️ Left or right orientation matters. The Corner Ryzer is sold in left-hand and right-hand configurations. Choose before ordering — orientation cannot be changed after assembly.

How to Decide

1. Measure your space

Know your available width and depth before choosing a tabletop size. The frame must fit within the tabletop's minimum and maximum width range.

2. Estimate your load

Add up monitors, arms, accessories, and the tabletop itself. The Mini Ryzer maxes at 130 lbs; the Solo and Prime handle 275 lbs; the Corner handles 330 lbs.

3. Consider your height range needs

The Solo, Prime, and Corner all share the same height range (24.4″–49.9″). The Mini has a slightly narrower range. Taller users above 6'2″ should verify the max height works for their standing posture.

4. Decide: single or L-shaped?

If you need two surfaces or an L-shaped layout, the Corner Ryzer is the only option. All other models use a single rectangular tabletop.
